Katie & Lydia

RELEASING SOON!

Mock up of Katie & Lydia book, written by Beth Foreman

Katie & Lydia is the first in a three-book series of dual timeline stories that explores one question: Am I enough?

This book begins to unravel the connection between two women separated by 500 years and 5,000 miles and the one ring that changes everything.

The Electorate of Saxony, 1505. Katie is six years old, spunky and curious, the daughter of German nobility. When her happy childhood is shaken, she’s catapulted into a world of silence and strangers. She wants to become a faithful servant, but she often wonders, am I enough? She’s supposed to meditate, pray and be silent, but this is nearly impossible for her. When she learns about the teachings of the scandalous reformer, Dr. Luther, she’s confused. Who am I? Who is God? Her questions and her escape from the convent change her life dramatically and perhaps the life of her descendant, Lydia. Years later, a rebel monk with a ring may help her find her place back in the world.

Five centuries later outside Chicago in 2009, Lydia K. Harrison’s husband disappears and leaves her bankrupt.

She used to be happy with a new pair of shoes. Now, she has to sell the house, cancel her botox, and pretend life is good. When her estranged mother falls, Lydia returns home to long-buried secrets and new beginnings.

Katie & Lydia is a redemptive tale with a nod to history, a hint of mystery, and a touch of romance.
